HARD work by Street Pride volunteers, Manea parish councillors and local businesses has transformed an area between Manea pits and the park into a family friendly woodland picnic area.
Picnic tables and benches have been donated by street Pride and a local resident to complete the new amenity.
With the help of local businesses, parish councillors and volunteers, the scrubland area has been cleared and levelled, wood chip laid and the furniture installed. The area provides a pleasant resting spot for visitors to the area and gives residents a place to meet and chat with others.
