An air cadet was awarded a coveted medal after completing a gruelling 100 mile road march in Holland.
Alfie Jaggard, 16, of 1220 (March) Squadron, finished the Nijmegen road march, an annual walk that has taken place since 1909, earning the Vieradaagse Kruis medal.
During his time in Holland, he paid his respect to those that lost their lives in Operation Market Garden, laying a wreath at the Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery.
Alfie said: āIām so proud to have completed the walk and look forward to next year. I would highly recommend it.ā
