A March air cadet was on hand to help Loose Woman star and maths genius Carol Vorderman when she couldn’t work out how to take a selfie.
Corporal Joe Goodman, of 1220 (March) Air Cadets, was attending the Air Cadet National Band championships at RAF Halton where he found himself being introduced to Group Captain Vorderman, who is a new ambassador for the RAF Air Cadets.
Their selfie was tweeted by Carol to her more than 300,000 followers.
Corporal Goodman said: “Everyone at our Squadron knows that I love to take selfies, so I thought what better opportunity than to ask for one with our new group captain, and on her first official air cadet engagement.
“I did not expect it to be tweeted to over 300,000 people. It was an honour to meet her, and we hope that she may visit 1220 Squadron in her time with air cadets, as she was a student in Cambridge.”
