AIR cadets from March travelled to the North Yorkshire Moors to complete the expedition section of their silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Seven members of the March 1220 Squadron - including six cadets and one civilian instructor - took part in the three-day trip.
The group established base camp at Rosedale Abbey, between Pickering and Castleton, before setting of on a route which would take the group across the moors to Ravenscar on the coast.
The expedition required the group to be entirely self sufficient for the duration of the trip and members’ team work for all navigation and camping aspects were tested.
