A prestigious art group is looking for new members.

March Art Group meets every Thursday morning at March Library, between noon-2pm.

Group secretary Doreen Mills said: “The group is for like-minded people who enjoy painting and drawing in a convivial atmosphere. Water colours, acrylics and water colour pencils only as meetings are held in the library room.

“Though not a teaching group, we welcome those who have wide experience to those who haven’t picked up a paint brush since schooldays and want to try their hand at a new hobby.

“The group meets throughout the year in three-monthly sessions, each usually containing one or two demonstrations and a full-day workshop with professional artists.

“Otherwise, members work on their own projects and can take advantage of the occasional challenge if they wish.”

Fees are £2.50 per meeting, the whole three month session paid in advance.
