A 5KM fun run organised by March Athletic Club raised more than £1,600 for forces’ charity Help for Heroes.

March AC runners were joined by members of the public to take part in the fundraising event at the end of May. More than 159 people backed March AC’s efforts and extra funds were also raised by two sponsored spinning classes run by John Savage, one the club’s members.

Tony Whibley, March AC’s treasurer, presented the cheque to two representatives of the charity.
