Trombone player Jack awarded cup by March Brass 2000

March Brass 2000 celebrated their most improved player in the junior band at a recent ceremony. A cup was presented to Jack High, 10, who plays the trombone.

March Brass 2000 celebrated their most improved player in the junior band at a recent ceremony.

A cup was presented to Jack High, 10, who plays the trombone.

Jack attends Burrowmoor Primary School where he has music lessons.

Jack joined the junior band a year ago and has been playing the trombone for two and a half years.

The cup was presented by March Brass 2000 chairman Peter Sutterby. He said that he is very proud of Jack and the progress that he has made.

March Brass 2000 is a family orientated, non-contesting band that welcomes experienced players.

The band attends various functions throughout the year.

The band, formed in 1891 and formerly known as the March Railway Silver Band is always looking for experienced players. Instruments are provided.

Their next concert is at WisBeach on Sunday June 3 at 1.30pm.
