A CADET from March has been honoured after completing her first ever solo flight.
Corporal Lauren Arnold of 1220 (March) Squadron became the 10th member to collect her silver gliding wings after flying the Grob Viking glider in Wethersfield, Essex, by herself.
“When my Friday slot was cancelled due to cross winds I joked that it wasn’t a problem and that I would just land at Stansted instead,” she said.
March Squadron are now recruiting and will hold an open evening on September 8 with the new intake night arranged for September 14.
