A dog groomer from March is gearing up for her first London Marathon.

Rebecca Mackie, 30, who works at Mackie’s Mutts, is running in aid of veterinary charity the Animal Health Trust (AHT).

She said: “I’ve always wanted to run the marathon and it’s something I really wanted to do for my 30th – so here I am training for the 26 mile challenge and I can’t think of a better charity to run the marathon for.

“I’ve always known about the AHT through my love of horses but there’s just so much that the AHT does for so many animals.

“It’s really incredible and I’m proud to be representing the AHT in the London Marathon.”
