A harvest assembly saw children donate generously for March Food Bank.
Cavalry Primary School held their annual assembly on Monday (October 22), where tinned goods, fruit, vegetables, crisps and chocolate were handed over.
Children took part in a game to show how it helps people to work together as a team and to be able to rely on those around them and to have a positive outlook on life.
They were also treated to a fabulous rendition of Eva Cassidy’s True Colours, performed by the senior choir with Mrs Edwards.
A school spokesperson said: “Once again, we were overwhelmed with the donations we received to send to the March Food Bank.
“An enormous thank you to all that donated. What a delightful assembly with such a positive message for our pupils.”
Cavalry Primary has about 420 children on their roll, aged from 4 to 11 years old with 22 teachers.
