THEY all left school in 1944 aged 14 but when they got together on Saturday the memories were as vivid as ever.
The pupils of the former Hereward Boys’ School in March who are celebrating their 80th birthdays this year, gathered at the home of Peter Jackman in kinglsey Street to chat about their school days and catch up on their latest news.
They held their first reunion in 1994 and have held them every five years since then. Those who went along enjoyed the glorious sunshine with a barbecue cooked by Ted Edwards.
