The March Lions are celebrating a “fantastic” start to the year with 21 of their members receiving Young Leaders in Service Awards.

The awards “recognise the time the young people have given up to help others, said lion Alexander Groome.

“Most of the awards went to people that help out at local hangout, Young People March.

“This shows that young people just want to help in every way they can to make other young people’s lives more enjoyable.”

They were given the awards at an event on Friday, which was attended by Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner Councillor Jason Ablewhite and Mayor of March Councillor Andrew Donnelly.
