MARCH Lions celebrated their 35th birthday at the weekend - with one of the founder members receiving his chevrons for 35 years of tireless service.
Trevor Quince was presented with his chevrons by Lion’s President Trevor Stockbridge during the charter evening dinner on Saturday at the Oliver Cromwell Hotel, in March. Other awards for long service were also presented.
Lions from the March, Wisbech and Peterborough clubs attended the event, with presentations, speeches, a meal and music from Bondi delighting the audience.
A raffle raised 245, which will be used to support more needy causes across Fenland. The club, which was founded in 1976 to fundraise for those less fortunate, thanked all the businesses that donated raffle prizes.
