A 77-YEAR-OLD March man has been given unconditional bail, after appearing before Peterborough magistrates accused of possessing, making and taking indecent images of children and possessing a pornographic movie involving a dog.

Dennis Arthur King, of Springfield Avenue, March, Cambridgeshire, must return to court on March 12, when his case is due to be committed to Peterborough Crown Court.

King is charged with:

• Possessing eight indecent photographs of a child on January 26 2012, seven rated at level two on the Copine Scale and one at level four.

• Possessing 63 indecent photographs of a child on January 26 2012, 27 at level one on the Copine Scale, 28 at level two, one at level three and one at level four.

• Possessing 62 prohibited images of a child on January 26 2012.

• Possessing six prohibited images of a child on January 26 2012.

• Making 26 indecent images of a child between May 1 2009 and January 26 2012, eight rated at level one on the Copine Scale, 11 at level two, four at level three and three at level four.

• Making 141 indecent images of a child between May 1 2009 and January 26 2012, 91 rated at level one on the Copine Scale, 36 at level two, 12 at level three and two at level four.

• Taking 28 indecent photographs of a child between May 1 2009 and January 26 2012, 18 rated at level one on the Copine Scale and 10 at level four, together with one level four movie of a child.

• Possessing an extreme pornographic movie portraying an act which involved sexual interference with a dog.

The Copine Scale measures the severity of images, with level one the lowest and level five the highest.
