March man, 83, dies in hospital two days after crash on A142 near Chatteris

A MAN in his 80s died two days after he was seriously injured in a crash on the outskirts of Chatteris.

Douglas Cranwell, 83, of Green Street, March, was driving a Ford Focus along the A142 Ireton’s Way on Sunday afternoon which left the road close to the junction with Wenny Road and ended in a nearby garden.

He was rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with his injuries, but died on Tuesday afternoon.
