MORE than 700 was raised at St Peter’s Church summer fair as the people of March turned out in support.
Money was raised from stalls, crafts, books, traditional games and a tombola which was won by little Jucinda Upchurch-Bent who suffers from cerebral palsy.
David Collison, churchwarden, said: “I am delighted and very grateful that the people of March turned out in such good numbers to support our summer fair.
“So much of what we achieve at St Peter’s depends upon the generosity of our congregation and the townsfolk. We will certainly put the money to good use.”
Funds will go towards the overall upkeep of the church, which is used for worship and a range of community activities.
