Players are preparing themselves for the long haul as the March Royal British Legion gets ready to put on a 24 hour pool marathon.
The game will start at 1pm next Saturday at the March Royal British Legion Club and about 20 players will keep rotating until they call it a day at 1pm next Sunday.
As well as the pool marathon, the club is also staging a children’s fun day with a bouncy castle, assault course, pirate ship, barbecue, cream teas and stalls.
The club is hoping to match the more than £1,000 they raised at last year’s event. Monies raised this year will be split between the club and FACET, a charity which supports people with disabilities in the Fenland area.
March Royal British Legion treasurer Pat Case said: “Any charity is welcome to join us with a stall if they so wish. The support of March would be much appreciated.”
