A 17 year-old from March had her head shaved yesterday in a bid to raise £1,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
It is a charity close to Phoebe Dudley’s heart - her older sister Laura had a life-changing 14 hour operation there 20 years ago.
She said: “This is where my sister went when she had cancer so to show my appreciation I’m trying to raise £1,000 for the children and their families to make their time at the hospital a little easier.”
Phoebe has donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust, who provide real-hair wigs to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
You can still donate at https://www.justgiving.com/gonewiththehair or at Mill Hill Garage on Wimblington Road and Elite Hair Studio on Elwyn Road.
