More than 120 youngsters aged between six and 12 tried their hand at a range of sports at March Town Cricket Club’s Three Day Sports Festival.

Club coaches Bill Adamson, Ash Vodnala, Toby Nulty and Stuart Mills offered children the opportunity to learn and practice numerous sporting skills, and there was the added bonus of a bouncy castle.

Great support was received from the coaches from March Boxing Club, March Athletic Club, March Soccer School and Peterborough Hockey Club.

On the final evening, all the children with their parents returned to enjoy the presentation evening and collected their goody bag.

March Town chairman Les Mills said: “I would like to thank all the coaches, assistant coaches, catering staff and the numerous helpers and volunteers for all their hard work, organisation skills and enthusiasm which ensured the festival was the most successful we have run. It was a great team effort.

“Bill Adamson started the festival 11 years ago and this year it was the most successful and well attended festival we have ever organised.

“Special thanks to all our sponsors as well namely the Big Lottery, Fenland Youth District Council and Fenmarc. Numerous children have had a great start to their summer holidays.”
