MORE businesses in Broad Street, March, are urgently needed to get into the festive spirit by landing a power point to the Christmas Lights Committee.
The town’s lights committee met on Monday and heard from town clerk Clive Lemmon that the recession was taking its toll on shops able to lend a hand.
He explained that there were a number of empty and “non participating” shops in Broad Street which could cause the Christmas switch on some problems.
“Serious difficulties could be incurred unless more premises can be persuaded to allow electric boxes to be fitted,” said Mr Lemmon.
The lights switch on will be Friday November 25. Any company able to help should contact Mr Lemmon at the town hall: Tel 01354 653709
