As part of the lottery funded Time to Move project, pupils are being encouraged to try different sports - this half term the focus is on bowls.

Other sports pupils will get a taste of are archery, horse riding and tri golf (indoor golf with plastic clubs).

A Westwood spokesman said: “We applied to Awards For All for funding to set up a Time to Move Project – we were supported in the bid by Witchford College. Our bid was successful and we received funding of £8,960.

“The aim of the project was to introduce children to a variety of sporting activities to encourage physical activity. “Some of our parents and lunch time supervisors are being trained to deliver the programme to all of our children.”
