BRUCE has had a busy political life since being elected to Fenland District Council in 1992. A by-election followed quickly and he was elected to Fenland District Council and he was then elected to Wisbech Town Council. As a councillor he is always willing to help people whenever he can.
He has been very active on both councils, including being Chairman of the Wisbech Town Council Planning Committee for several years. In 2004 he had the honour of being elected Mayor of Wisbech, a post he held with great pride.
Bruce has also been appointed to several outside bodies such as a school Governor and a Trustee of the Wisbech and Fenland Museum and other local charities. Outside of his political life he is a keen musician: he is the organist at St Peter and St Paul’s Church and a Fellow of the London College of Music.
