REG Mee is a Labour candidate for Staithe Ward in the Fenland District Council election.
Reg was born in Wisbech and has lived and worked here all his life.
He is a gas engineer by trade and has worked within the domestic and industrial fields since being apprenticed by the old eastern gas board in Wisbech.
He is also a very keen musician and is involved with local jam sessions and was one of the people behind the Fenmuse festival.
Reg said: “Having worked throughout the UK I have seen the differences in other places and would love to see some of these done here as I believe as a town we have so much to offer.
“My passions are for the youth of today, as a father and grandfather I feel for their future. I would love to see the return of proper funded apprenticeships and a more positive attitude towards our young age.”
