SIMON Massen stands as a candidate in Peckover Ward for Labour.
Simon, a 42-year-old father of two, was born in Wisbech and attended the Queen’s Boys School until 1986.
After leaving school he joined Royal Mail as a Postal cadet in Wisbech and later transferred to work at the Peterborough Mail Centre.
Simon served on Wisbech Town Council between 1997 and 2001 and was on a number of committees. He was vice-chairman of the Finance Committee.
Simon represented postal workers for the Communication Workers Union for 17 years and gained a research degree part-time and now works to provide adult learning.
He believes that local government in Wisbech and Fenland has become stale under one party and believes more balance of representation is needed.
