“One of our most successful ever years”, was how the Middle Level Waterman’s Club commodore, Bill Barry, summed up the closing boating season at the club’s annual Laying Up Supper held this weekend in March.

“It has been a most busy year with numerous events and cruises enjoyed by our members.

“Undoubtedly the highlight of the year was the club’s hosting at our Skoulding’s Rest site of the Association of Nene River Clubs, (ANRC) rally that has been unanimously voted the best rally ever”, he added.

The 2016 events calendar is now being finalised for another bumper season of boating for club members to enjoy.

This year’s Clubman of the Year Shield was awarded to the club’s President, Bernard Keane to acknowledge his contributions and hard work and commodore certificates of appreciation and commitment throughout the year were awarded to Sylvia Keane, Jean Parker, Roger and Sue Abrey, Craig and Jocelyn Shorter and Mark Roberts.
