THE Fenland Project of Peterborough and Fenland Mind has won a contract to deliver a support service to people suffering from mental ill health.

Based at the former Dartford Centre in Dartford Road, the new service will be available to clients referred by GPs or the Community Mental Health Team.

Project manager Sandra Cutts said: "We now have the staff and the resources to deliver a high quality service to all the people who need us.

"We will be helping mental health sufferers across the southern part of Fenland taking in Whittlesey, March and Chatteris and the rural areas in between."

The new centre will be called the Fenland Project Resource Centre and will work with clients, initially on an individual basis, devising programmes of activities and support to help them on their road to recovery.
