THE funeral will take place today (Friday) of Bob Ballard, the March man whose body was discovered in a shed close to his home.

Mr Ballard, 59, had been missing for 10 days after leaving his home in Queen Street Close wearing jeans but no top or shoes. His family described his disappearance as being completely out of character.

Police conducted an extensive search for Mr Ballard but his body was discovered by a member of the public last Thursday in an outbuilding in Lime Grove.

A post mortem showed Mr Ballard had died of natural causes.

An electrician by trade, Mr Ballard had been due to start a new security job at Coldham Wind Farm.
