A 16-year-old moped rider was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, after suffering serious head injuries after the moped he was riding collided with a kerb at 7.20am earlier today.
Police said the incident happened this morning on Lynn Road, Southery, near Downham Market.
An East Anglian Air Ambulance had to land in a nearby garden so medics could treat the patient.
The teenager’s condition has been described as serious.
The road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident and officers carried out initial investigations.
The road was reopened at approximately 10.35am.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or may have any other information to contact PC Louise Manning at Swaffham Roads Policing on 101.
