Chatteris Street Pride Group braved the rain on Saturday to take part in Environmental Day and recruit more volunteers. A further six residents have signed up to become Street Pride Volunteers and work alongside Chatteris Town in Bloom and Fenland District Council to improve their local area.
The Chatteris Street Pride group are planning to hold regular litter picks around the town and it is hoped that their actions also will persuade other residents to do their bit to keep Chatteris tidy.
The group's next meeting is on Monday 2nd July at 2.30pm in the Council Chambers in Church Lane, Chatteris. Anyone interested in the Street Pride project is welcome to attend.
