MORE than 570 registered sex offenders live in Cambridgeshire, according to police figures.
Cambridgeshire Police revealed that, as of April this year, there were 572 registered sex offenders living in the county.
Almost 40 per cent of these (223) live in the Peterborough and villages division, while more than 20 per cent (129) live in Cambridge and East Cambs.
There are 112 registered sex offenders living in Huntingdon and West Cambs and 108 living in Fenland.
The Sex Offenders Register contains the details of anyone convicted, cautioned or
released from prison for sexual offences against children or adults since September
1997, when it was set up.
