PRESIDENT Cynthia Spooner welcomed members and a visitor to the June meeting of Chatteris Morning WI at King Edward Centre. It was agreed that the outing to Wicksteed Park, for lunch and an afternoon show had been a success. Mrs Spooner then gave an account of her trip to the annual meeting at the Royal Albert Hall and then introduced Elizabeth Cox, who gave a flower demonstration. Since then members have enjoyed a barbecue lunch at the president's home. Members were reminded that at the next meeting, on Friday, July 13, a police dog handler would be attending.
