AFTER welcoming members and guests to the MU Christmas meeting Janet Young lit the advent candle and led prayers. She then presented a programme of readings by Patience Strong followed by prayers and Christmas carols and a nostalgic reading of Christmas

AFTER welcoming members and guests to the MU Christmas meeting Janet Young lit the advent candle and led prayers. She then presented a programme of readings by Patience Strong followed by prayers and Christmas carols and a nostalgic reading of 'Christmas Memories', by Mabel Demain. The service ended with a reading Joan Sedgefield.

Next came the afternoon's afternoon festivitites with refreshments provided by members.

A bring and buy stall was run by Sylvia Constable and the closing prayer was by the Rev Wendy Thomson.
