THIS month the Mother's Union celebrated with its annual strawberry and cream tea.
Members and guests were welcomed by Joy Parker who took the meeting, beginning with a service of hymns and prayers and a Bible reading by Helen Pestill. A short business meeting followed, with the treasurer's report by Joan Coe and information about future events given by Janet Young.
Then came the strawberries and cream with scones, home made by members, were served by Margaret Baltrop and Janet Young, who had made the arrangements and were assisted by several members. Tea and coffee were also served. Bring and buy and greeting card tables were available for members to browse through and buy items of interest.
