The motorcyclist who died following a collision with a car near Peterborough was a 60 year-old man from Coates.
Christopher John Arnett, of Blackthorn Court, The Fold, Coates, was seriously injured in the crash and later died in hospital.
He was riding a 1000cc blue and white Suzuki GSXR motorbike, which was in collision with a black Volkswagen Golf car at about 10.20am in Glatton Ways, about half way between the A1 and Glatton.
The driver of the car, a 43-year-old man from Diss, in Norfolk, was not injured.
Police are also re-appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or either vehicle involved just prior, to contact PC Ian Gray, at the road policing unit, on 101.
