Tracy has called on the Little London pub in March to help her raise cash for the specialst children’s hospital, where Ellie-May had heart surgery on New Year’s Eve.

Ellie-May, now 13 months old, was born with Down’s Syndrome and a hole in her heart.

Mother of five Tracy, who lives in Peyton Avenue at March, said: “I knew Ellie-May was going to have problems, after my first scan,” said Tracy. “I was offered a termination, because they thought her heart could not be fixed, but I refused.

“I am so delighted I had her, she has changed my life a lot, and made me stronger. She is such a happy child.”

Ellie-May was in Great Ormond Street for a week after her operation, and the hospital has just declared her heart to be 100 per cent.

“I am so grateful to the hospital for saving her life,” said Tracy, whose other children are Katie, 21, Jake, 19, 16-year-old Stevie, and 12-year-old Amy.

“She is always smiling, and in hospital she didn’t cry once, it was unbelievable.”
