A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body at a house in Wisbech.

The 43-year-old was arrested following the discovery of the woman, who is in her 50s, in Mill Close.

Police were called at just after 9.40pm on Sunday (24)) with reports of concern for a woman at the property.

The arrested man is currently being treated in hospital for minor injuries.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out at Peterborough City Hospital at 3pm today (Monday 25).
