MURDERED traveller Fred Moss had bought land in Chatteris and was planning to build a home in the town, it has been revealed.Police proved Christopher Nudds, 27, shot, butchered and burned the 21-year-old despite no body ever being found. This week, the killer was told by Judge Wide QC he would serve a minimum of 30 years. It emerged in court that despite a lack of formal education Fred Moss had built up a successful driveway business. He had used that money to buy land near his parents' home in Sawbridgeworth, as well as in Chatteris, where he was planning to build a home. The court heard how Mr Moss disappeared on November 30, 2004. In March 2005, 750 travellers packed into St Andrew's Church, Chesterton, at a special memorial service for him.Nudds killed him after luring him to an isolated spot following a fall-out of a "personal" nature the previous day.
