A MUSICAL that tells of New York gamblers and their girls is being staged at Wisbech Grammar School this week.A cast of more than 30 pupils aged 14 and above has been rehearsing for the new production of Guys and Dolls since September and the three-night run of performances began on Wednesday.The show, directed by Kevin Shippey supported by musical director Heather Slade-Lipkin, features a 15-piece orchestra.Director of music Gabriel Fitzsimmons said: "The children have met the challenge of a taxing musical that calls upon acting, singing and dancing skills at the highest levels."For tonight's final performance the curtain rises at 7.30pm and tickets, costing £6 for adults and £4 for students, will be available at the door.
