Mystery surrounds Whittlesey recycling bin fire

A recycling bin caught fire in Whittlesey last night.

At 9.05pm, a crew from Stanground was called to a fire in the open in a car park off Blunts Lane, Whittlesey.

A recycling container measuring 2m by 2m was well alight and was extinguished using hose reels and jets.

Crews returned to their stations by 9.45pm.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
