Artist Tim Mann is bringing his Crowded Room Wisbech project to the College of West Anglia (CWA).

The Crowded Room aims to encourage people to celebrate the area in which they live, and bring them together through art.

Having toured across the UK and Ireland, Tim brings Crowded Room to the Fens.

On November 9 he will be at CWA, working on the town portrait and delivering an arts workshop to students.

He hopes that this will encourage people to develop an interest in contemporary art, which could lead them to visit other exhibitions, undertake further training courses or consider working within the field.

The Crowded Room Wisbech will be an opportunity for CWA students studying subjects like art and design, fashion, photography and graphic design, to take part in a living work of art that highlights the importance of each participant as an individual within a specific environment.

The final portrait will be a picture that tells a story about a moment in time within Wisbech and will be showcased at Wisbech and Fenland Museum from Sunday November 26 until the new year.

All participants will be invited to the public opening and the portrait will be put on permanent display in a public space in town.
