A group of students from a March school have had weeks of campaigning rewarded by being named as members of its Junior Leadership Team.

Nine students at Neale-Wade Academy will represent the school in daily meetings, as well as heading the school’s Student Voice, which aims to give students a chance to share their views on matters during the academic year.

The successful candidates applied in writing, before creating a manifesto which they outlined to fellow students, who then voted on who they wanted to represent them.

They were then interviewed by the academy’s current senior head boy and junior head girl.

The new leadership team will be:
