Neale-Wade Academy students enjoyed a day learning about life in the NHS and the jobs it has to offer.
Pupils from Years 11, 12 and 13 visited Anglia Ruskin University and Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for an NHS Discovery Day.
The students were able to understand what studying a health based subject at university would be like and meet NHS professionals at the hospital to discover and see first-hand the wider breath of helath service careers and how those professionals would operate during their working day.
In addition students were also given information on how to write a personal statement for a specific field, what kind of work experience they should under take to help with their ambitions and learned about various fields such as radiology, pharmacology and other essential roles in the health service.
