Neale-Wade students regaled an appreciative audience with their concert at St Mary’s Church.
The programme was varied in content and included a song by the Beatles and Smoke gets in Your Eyes by Jerome Kern played on a euphonium.
There was a flute solo of Elgar’s melody, Chanson de Matin, and the first movement of a Mozart flute concerto. Also included was the fourth movement of the Mozart horn concerto.
Church organist Roger High said: “Hopefully we will enjoy a return performance from the students at Neale-Wade.”
It was printed in last Friday’s paper that there is a concert on Friday July 17. This was a mistake. There is no concert planned.
