NEALE Wade students have secured outstanding work placements in a week of success stories from the academy, according to the principal.
Sixth Formers have been offered impressive placements in the world of science under the umbrella of the Nuffield Bursary Scheme.
Digby Chappell has an engineering placement at the Melbourne Science Park Cambridge, Christine Crawford has a forensic science placement at Anglia Ruskin University, Heidi Spencer will be at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge and Ilana Foreman has a psychology placement in Cambridge University’s Department of Education.
Lewis Sindle, who will be returning to the Academy in September in Year 12, will be attending the London International Youth Science Forum, a two week residential event held at Imperial College London, with lectures and demonstrations from leading scientists.
Meanwhile, a group of Year 10 students have been selected to attend a two day electronics and robotics residential course at the University of Bedford.
