The Mayor of Whittlesey is looking to set up a business forum for the town.
Councillor David Mason says a forum would give the town’s traders “a stronger voice” on business matters.
He said: “I am anxious to give the traders in Whittlesey the opportunity of forming a new business forum to ensure that they have a stronger voice on matters relating to them in the future and also to enhance their prospects of increased trade.
“As a former president of the now disbanded Whittlesey Chamber of Trade and a founder member of the Whittlesey Christmas Lights Committee I feel that I am in a position to assist in this matter.
“I would invite any trader interested in my offer to contact me through Whittlesey Town Council so that an initial meeting can be organised to set up a formal constitution.”
