LOCAL students will have started receiving new-style bus passes for use when the school year starts in September.
The new passes, made of plastic, have been produced by a new IT system and incorporate smart card facilities, with advanced security measures to combat ticket counterfeiting and card/ticket management.
The passes are more robust and easier to use, and we are confident they will enhance the efficiency of the service.
Staff will be busy following the publication yesterday of GCSE results so I would advise students to apply for passes as soon as possible, so they can be processed in good time for the new term in September.
Dedicated helplines have been set up to deal with student inquiries. The number for the Cambridgeshire North area is 01223 717104.
