PARENTS, teachers and pupils enjoyed the great outdoors on Saturday working on a new play area and wildlife habitat in their school grounds.
The 30-strong workforce at Cavalry Primary School, March, painted fencing, dug a new bed for a jungle garden, added a few plants and tidied up around the trees.
Fiona McCallum, deputy headteacher, who was one of the teachers who turned out, said: "It is part of a big ongoing project to develop a really good environmental area which will be a habitat for all sorts of wildlife, and a lovely area for children to play.
"We started the project in September and we anticipate we will be working on it for at least another year.
