Fenland’s newest Street Pride group will be officially launched at a meeting tonight (June 25).

Murrow will become home to the district’s 15th Street Pride group when its inaugural meeting is held at Murrow Village Hall at 7pm.

Residents were keen to become part of the volunteer initiative, co-ordinated by Fenland District Council, following a successful litter pick in the village earlier this month.

Now new members are gearing up to hold regular community clean-ups, and already have plans to create new floral displays in the village too.

New volunteers are always welcome. It’s a great way of meeting like minded people who want to make the area where they live even better for everyone. If you think that you don’t have enough time to spare - you can do as little or as much as you like and make a difference in various ways.

Anyone wishing to get involved can contact Rebecca Robinett, the Council’s Street Pride Co-ordinator, on 01354 654321 or streetpride@fenland.gov.uk
