Kylie, who comes to Newmarket on Friday, June 19, is renowned for her spectacular live shows.

She celebrated her first UK number one in 1987 with I Should Be So Lucky and clocked up massive chart hits including Spinning Around and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.

She has now been at the forefront of pop culture for 28 years, selling more than 70 million records worldwide and releasing her 12th studio album Kiss Me Once last year.

With her incredible back catalogue, featuring 44 UK Top 40 hits, Kylie will be playing her classic hits old and new when she brings glamour to the Grandstands.

Kylie said: “I’m so excited to be performing at ‘An Evening At The Races’. I have an amazing band and fabulous dancers and we can’t wait to share my hits with you in a beautiful summer outdoor show.

“Being from a horse racing city like Melbourne, I’ll be sure to have a flutter on the horses myself!”

Brit Award-winning, multi-million selling Kaiser Chiefs – led by Ricky Wilson, a coach on BBC1’s The Voice – bring their formidable live show to Newmarket on July 31.

The band first shot to recognition in 2005 for breakout hit I Predict A Riot and followed it with hits including Oh My God, Everyday I Love You Less and Less and 2007 number one Ruby.

They released their latest LP, Education, Education, Education & War, last year which entered the charts at number one. It was their fifth top 10 album.

On both nights, the action kicks off earlier in the evening with six races to give fans the thrilling drama and spectacle.

Amy Starkey, regional director east of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “Newmarket Nights and the global singing sensation that is Kylie go together wonderfully well.

“She is a hugely popular artist and her legions of followers will be thrilled that she will be performing on The July Course on June 19.

“We’re expecting a rush for tickets for one of the ‘must be there’ music events of the whole of 2015, so all racing and music fans are urged to reserve their tickets as soon as they can for the opening concert of the 29th series of Newmarket Nights.

“We are also delighted that Kaiser Chiefs are playing at Newmarket for the second time in three years. They wowed a big audience in the summer of 2013 and I am sure their fans will be keen to see them as they bring their unique brand of music back to The July Course again.”

Tickets will be on sale at 9am on Friday (February 6) via www.thejockeyclublive.co.uk – prices start at £25 adults/£13 child (under 18) for Kaiser Chiefs, and £29 adult/£13 child (under 18) for Kylie. Hospitality packages are also available.
