IN REPLY to Pamela Philpott I have to say that I did not choose to return to March. I was well aware of what is, or at least what is not here.
As a consequence of a sudden family bereavement resulting in a change in circumstances, I was unfortunately left with no option.
She will no doubt be delighted to hear that my aim is to return from whence I came in the future. Even so I will always remain saddened by the fact that in my opinion March has deteriorated and not progressed in the 28 years that I have been away.
I make no apology for wishing to see the town centre something like it was then, quaintly attractive and mainly consisting of clean well maintained shops selling a side variety of goods.
If a desire for an enhancement of ones environment and facilities makes me a 'snobby person' so be it.
